  • Two weeks of duty as sole surgical provider during unexpected typhoon, 1991.
  • Chuuk (Truk) State, Federated States of Micronesia:
  • Created and founded the first private civilian and non-profit pharmacy on Weno Island known as Truk (Now Chuuk) ASAP Pharmacy.  This pharmacy allowed the purchase of antihelminthics and other essential medications at a fractional cost of a pack of cigarettes or beer. This was essential as the government hospital was chronically out of basic medications (1982-1986).
  • Duty at Lagoon Island dispensaries providing primary care and donating medications, Aug. 1992, 1993, 1994.
